Kayla visits the pumpkin patch

Well, Cheryl recently posted about the Frey Family Visit. This past weekend wasn’t quite as adventurous as our trip to Whistler the week before, but Kayla has had some time to visit with Grandma Frey who is now helping out with Kayla while Cheryl is in Scotland on her first overnight work trip since Kayla was born.

The big trip for the weekend was the pumpkin patch. This was before Cheryl took off for Edinburgh on Sunday.

Of course, Kayla got dressed up:

She enjoyed roaming around the pumpkin patch:

It wasn’t all real pumpkins:

And there were also pre-picked pumpkins for people who are less into wandering:

We ended up getting a baby pumpkin for Kayla, a small pumpkin for Cheryl, and a pumpkin to carve for me… That, as you might imagine was Cheryl’s idea 🙂

Here’s a few non-pumpkin related pictures from this weekend… Just because.

Grandma Frey is here all week helping out with Kayla, and I think she’s having fun! It’s great help for me, otherwise I would have to pick-up, and drop-off every day which would be almost impossible to do while getting any work done. She’s already taught Kayla a few things, now Kayla can say “mamamamama” (no “mommy” yet), and I think she’s now drilling Kayla on “dadadada” 🙂
